Based on a beautiful and funny screenplay by award-winning playwright Tom Crawshaw (Boris World King, Not The Messiah, Later Showers), this mind-bending and allegorical short film tells the story of Annie Walker, an admin worker, at the end of the world.
Serving as a subtle commentary on global inaction around climate issues, it’s The Office meets Children Of Men, or Melancholia reimagined by Martin McDonagh.
Yaz Al-Shaater is a screen and stage director, trained at The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. In 2017 he was awarded a place on the Jerwood Director’s Programme.
Recent stage work has appeared in London’s West End, The Young Vic, York Theatre Royal, and across the country. Film projects include sitcom Missing Something, and the short films Topless and None Of The Above.
With Haroun, he runs Brother Brother, making music videos, documentaries, and award- winning films for charities and start-ups.
Haroun Al-Shaater is a director and cinematographer. His directorial debut Alex was awarded the Grand Jury Prize at SWIFF 2016.
Currently based in Berlin and collaborating on numerous artistic projects, as well as running Brother Brother alongside Yaz, creating work for clients such as Nike, Son & Park, SEAT, Foot Locker & Babbel Magazine, and racking up millions of combined monthly views.
Tom is a writer of theatre and comedy and past winner of the Cameron Mackintosh New Writing Award.
Recent theatre includes Boris World King (West End), Nonsense & Sensibility (West End and tour), Not The Messiah (London & Belfast), and Play On Words (London & Edinburgh).
Recent film and radio includes Missing Something (online), The Adventure Department (podcast) and NewsJack (Radio 4 & 4 Extra).
Chris is currently working as a set designer on Star Wars Episode IX, having worked in art department all of the current slate since The Force Awakens. This is his third collaboration with Brother Brother, including as a core member of the team for their award-winning sitcom, Missing Something.
Paulien has been working as a creative producer in photography and video at media firms in both Amsterdam and Berlin. She started freelancing in 2018 and joined forces with Brother Brother after working together on their latest music video Party is Over.
